When people start researching Hot Springs Village, it’s easy to find beautiful photographs of lakefront homes, golf-course properties and newer houses. But that’s only one part of HSV.
Hot Springs Village has been developing for more than five decades, so naturally we have neighborhoods and homes representing many different eras. That’s one of the things that makes the Village interesting.
For this ride, I headed out around sunset to explore some of the older neighborhoods near Lakes DeSoto and Cortez.
You’ll see homes that are generally more modest in size. Some have single-car garages. Some have carports. Many sit among mature trees on quiet, winding streets that have been part of Hot Springs Village for decades.
And they’re still lovely neighborhoods.
That’s something I want prospective residents to understand about HSV. Older doesn’t necessarily mean run-down, undesirable or something to avoid. It can simply mean established.
These areas may be especially interesting for people who don’t want or need a large house. Maybe you’re retiring and intentionally looking to downsize. Maybe you care more about living in Hot Springs Village than having a newer 2,500-square-foot home. Or perhaps you simply prefer the character of an older neighborhood surrounded by mature trees.
Hot Springs Village gives you those choices.
One of the reasons I enjoy making these neighborhood rides is that I don’t have to describe everything to you. You can see it for yourself.
So come along as we ride through a few of the older neighborhoods around DeSoto and Cortez at sunset.
This is another side of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas—modest, mature, quiet and still very much part of what makes HSV a special place to live.
