Fraud Warnings with Police Chief Bennett

Police Chief Kristi Bennett joins us today to issue a warning – a fraud warning that has popped up inside the Village. Scammers and fraudsters don’t mind using people’s emotions and desires to help the police force. Chief Bennett has had no fewer than 6 separate companies mailing letters to HSV residents that are labeled “help your Hot Springs Village Police” and claim to fund local police. The problem is none of them are recognized charities or non-profit organizations. To her knowledge none of these mailings have any association with HSV or any local government. Beware. When in doubt, contact the HSV Police department.
