A Special Series Featuring The Great Porches Inside Hot Springs Village
Today marks the beginning of what I hope will be an ongoing series of my exploring Hot Springs Village for great porches. #PorchProwling

Danny and Becky Hobson showed me Hobson’s Choice, the name of their house.
Hobson’s Choice is an old English expression meaning “take it or leave it.”
It comes from Thomas Hobson, a 16th-century Cambridge stable owner who rented horses. Customers thought they could choose any horse, but Hobson insisted they take the horse nearest the door—no real choice at all.
So today, “Hobson’s Choice” means a situation where only one option is actually available, even if it appears like you have several.
Built in 2024 by Renaissance Homes, the Hobsons enjoy a great view of the Isabella Golf Course and Lake Isabella.
