Resurrecting Old Hobbies (or embracing new ones) In Retirement

A couple of months ago, I made up my mind to begin learning the guitar.

For over 45 years, I’ve owned a guitar. Not the same one the entire time, but I’ve always had a guitar (in a case) sitting within 10 feet of me in my home office. But…I’ve never learned how to play.

As I approached my 68th rotation around the sun, I figured, “It’s now or never!” I choose NOW.

Since then I’ve had numerous conversations, some of them with you guys, who are approaching retirement and dreaming (or planning) to resurrect old hobbies, or embrace new ones. Like I am with the guitar.

Hot Springs Village is a great place to do both. The pace of life, the natural beauty, and most of all, the low cost of living provide many of us with the opportunity to pursue things we love. Time and money, thanks to Hot Springs Village, can be on our side to learn new things, fall back in love with old things, and spend our days doing what we most love.
