The Magellan Beaver Dam Trail inside Hot Springs Village was created in 1999. It’s about a mile long – 1/2 a mile to the end, then back. But we prefer to make a loop along Cedar Creek because I’m a sucker for flowing water. That route makes it slightly longer.
The trail is easy and relatively flat, except when you trek down closer to the water (like we did). Depending on how fast you walk, it will take you about 20 minutes. We took our time to bring you a video of the trail’s appearance in late January 2025.
On the way back, you can see the Magellan Golf Course. It was about 53 degrees and sunny today, so the golfers were out in full force, proving that golf is just about a year-round activity inside Hot Springs Village.
