Dennis discusses some updates and upcoming changes for Hot Springs Village Inside Out. As we approach 400 episodes it becomes clear that what got us here may not take us where we want to go. Zoom has been the mainstay of our program since its inception but on-site interviews with local companies and personalities are where we’re headed for a better listener and viewer experience.

We visited for a week to HSV and Hot Springs and enjoyed it (oct/nov). One thing that you should talk about is the roads inside the village, how curvy and dark some are. Everything seemed very hilly and rollercoaster type driving. We tried Dolce vida restaurant and it was great and very friendly owners/employees. We are looking to buy a lot on any of the golf courses which is flat entry and exit, which is hard to find. My wife did find the drive to Hot Springs seemed a little long for us city folk which are use to going someplace in 10 minutes or work within 15. We decided to wait until my wife retires in 3.5 years so she would not have to commute to work a few days a week. She did not care for the drive from HSV to Hot Springs. Keep up with the inside and outside information, it is appreciated.
Scott.. .thanks for your great comments. I once asked Peggy Ford at the POA … (since everything was Spanish i called her “La Pegrah”) who laid out the roads.. she noted one guy was name lefty and the other was curvy … yes.. it is curvy and can be scary … sorry for the trouble. Fact is, we are in the UPPER foothills of the Ouachita Mountains. As you go more northward it REALLY gets hilly (and MORE AMAZING VIEWS) … Hwy 7 NORTH of Jessiville has been named one of the top 10 drives in North America by PORSCHE … (hint it was not awarded this title for being FLAT low country 🙂 ) We DO have COMPLETELY flat Golf Lots for sale .. I was just about to post one. It is on Cortez and it does not rise or fall 2 feet over the entire CORNER lot on #3. i’ll email details soon. I find it interesting that you feel you are generally anywhere in 10-15 mins … Randy always noted that it is 20 -30 min to anywhere in Village .. but that it was 20-30 anywhere in Dallas too 🙂
HUGE CAVEAT!! with the Village being 18 miles from end to end with a 45 mph speed limit.. it DEPENDS on where in the Village you START from on your way to HS or Benton 🙂
